Two years ago, the first DCS Senior Girls soccer team, in recent history, made an amazing run to the 2004 Provincial Championships in Nakusp. Last year the DCS team finished 2nd on Vancouver Island to Glenlyon Norfolk, the eventual 2005 provincial champion.
This year’s team is a young, talented and keen team. The team boasts talented grade 8 – 10 students and one grade 11 student. Erin Woof, who was MVP at the 2006 Coastal Cup U17 Girls Championships, captains the team.
Coach Don Waddy says that his young team is looking forward to the Provincials and to the privilege of representing Duncan Christian School. This enthusiastic group of girls have the ability to enjoy more provincial participation in the years to come. Don and the DCS team hope and pray that all teams enjoy a positive experience at this year’s provincial championships!
