Tournament Memo #2: for those who have qualified!
Dear Provincial Girls A Soccer Coaches,
Congratulations on qualifying for the 2006 Provincial Girls A Soccer Championships! We are really looking forward to hosting you.
Please take careful of the following items and PLEASE NOTE TIME DEADLINES: Thanks!
1. Please find attached the following documents:
a. Tournament information Package
b. Prov t-shirt order form
c. Banquet ticket order form
d. Prov souvenir photo form
2. Banquet, T-shirt and souvenir photo forms must be completed and emailed to me by 3:00 PM Wed. May 24. Please abide by this deadline. Thanks!
3. Team Pictures: as the information package states, Team pictures will be taken from 6:30 - 8:00 PM on Wed. May 31 at the Duncan Christian Reformed Church. Please indicate your prefered photo time on the attached form and email me by 3:00 PM Wed. May 24 at the latest. Thanks!
4. Coaches Meeting: 8:30 PM Wed. May 31st at Duncan Christian Secondary School. ALL COACHES and/or Teacher Sponsors must attend. Please bring cheques payable to Duncan Christian School for banquet, t-shirts, souvenir photos. Thanks!
5. Opening Ceremonies: 9:00 AM Thurs. June 1st at the Duncan Christian Reformed Church. All teams MUST attend and need to arrive by 8:30 AM to organize for the processional.
6. Banquet: 6:30 PM at the Silver Bridge Inn. ALL TEAMS MUST ATTEND! Please fill out the attached form and email it back to me by 3:00 PM Wed. May 24. Please abide by this deadline. Thanks! (Hawaiian Theme - semi-formal) See tournament info package/banquet ticket order form for more details!)
7. Closing Ceremonies: approx. 12:30 PM on Sat. June 3 ALL TEAMS MUST ATTEND!
8. Coaches Golf Shirt: We will be presenting each Coach with a Souvenir Tournament Golf shirt at the Opening Ceremonies. Please submit the name of your coach and his/her shirt size by Wed. May 24 3:00 PM. Thanks!

Tournament Memo #1
Dear Girls A Zone reps and Coaches,
Greetings from Duncan Christian School, Vancouver Island!
Wow...The Provincial Girls "A" Soccer Championships are only one month away! We are really looking forward to hosting you!
Please ensure that the following information gets to the coaches in your zone - Thanks!!
Please take special note of the following items:
1. Championship Tournament Date: Thurs./Fri./Sat. June 1/2/3, 2006
2. Tournament Location: McAdam/Rotary Parks and the Cowichan Sportsplex, Duncan
3. Tournament Entry Fee: $300/team
4. Other tournament Costs: the cost banquet tickets, t-shirt cost, team photographs and other tournament items will be announced in future memos
5. Team Photos: We would like to have the Souvenir Tournament Program available to players and fans at the beginning of the tournament. In order to accomplish this, we would like to have your team photo and official team roster emailed to sports@duncanchristianschool.ca by 3:00 PM Friday, May 12, if you think there is a slight chance that your team will qualify. Please make every effort to ensure that this is done! Thanks!!
6. Team Logos: There is a spot reserved on the tournament t-shirt for the logo of each team that qualifies for the provincials. In order to prep for this, we would like to have a colour and black/white copy of your school's sports logo emailed to sports@duncanchristianschool.ca by 3:00 PM Friday, May 12, if you think there is a slight chance that your team will qualify. Please make every effort to ensure that this is done! Thanks!!
7. Team write-up: It would be great to have a brief write-up of each team in the Souvenir program that shares something interesting about your team ie. how season is going-highlights, experienced/inexperienced, memorable moments etc. etc. Please send a brief write-up by Friday, May 12 as well. Thanks!
7. Zone Play-off tournaments: The moment you know that your team has qualified, please notify me at once so that we can place your team photo into the souvenir program and your logo on the t-shirt.
8. Tournament website: Please log on to www.duncanchristianschool.ca and look for NEWS. The website is up and running, but many items still need to be added. Please check from time to time over the next 2 weeks. Accommodation information is now available.
9. Accommodations: Accommodation information is available on the tournament website
10. Pins exchange: It would be great if you could bring city pins from your school's area to exchange with the teams that you are competing against. Local governments tend to make them available for events like this for a slight or no cost.
11. PLEASE! PLEASE! Please read the requests for team photos/rosters, team logos and team write-ups again! It would be great to have all team photos and team logos of teams that might qualify emailed to me well before the deadline of Friday, May 12. Thank you very much for your attention to this detail!!
